The Government should impose limits on development size in rural communities.
Within the last year, developers have tried to get consent for huge local schemes in small rural towns and villages. These schemes represented significant percentage increases in housing stock, and threaten the social fabric and nature of the village. Development has to be better controlled.
Village of Tillingham facing several projects which would see 120 homes built in an area of limitred transport, work, and infrastructure, and a very significant increase in the size of the village. Burnham on Crouch faces similar with proposals for over 400 homes.
