Stop the Government squandering of tax payers' money
In a 2014 article from the Huffington Post:
House of Commons officials revealed that they have spent £275,221 buying in more than 25,000 bottles of champagne since the coalition took over in May 2010, which MPs and their staff can enjoy in Parliament's bars and restaurants
This is just one example of how tax payers' money is being wasted by our government. The very same government that has the audacity to condemn thousands into poverty, destroy the lives of the most needy and vulnerable in our society, reduce and privatise essential services, force people into using food banks whilst they claim for breakfasts, expensive drinks and renovate their homes using OUR money.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
It is clear that you are concerned about Government spending. But it is not quite clear to us what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
If you would like the Government to spend money in a different way, you could start a petition asking for a specific change.
