Don't Deport Harry Michael Phelan
In 2005 Mike came to the UK with his partner John Wilde. In 2006 they became a civil partnership. In 2006 he was also given a 5 year temporary residence. In 2012 Mike applied for an Indefinite Leave to Remain which has been refused despite Article 8 of the human rights act.
Splitting a lovely hard working couple up. Yet Article 8 of the European Convention of Human Rights says
There shall be no interference by a public authority with the exercise of this right except such as is in accordance with the law and is necessary in a democratic society in the interests of national security, public safety or the economic well-being of the country, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals, or for the protection of the rights and freedoms of others.
Theresa May has stated she welcomes immigrants that are willing to work, well this case is hypocritical of that one statement
