Encourage/make compulsory the growing of fruit/vegetables
Think of all the energy we in the UK put into gardening and plants. Just 30 square metres of land can produce over 1000kg of vegetables. This would have many benefits:
Encourages healthier eating (you can't get healthier than fresh fruit and veg). Encourages exercise (gardening is hard work). Lowers emissions (food doesn't need to be transported). Saves money (buy less food, grow your own). Increases GDP (creating a product)
