Petition Action

Police on duty, should be able to wear black Union Jack for fallen Officers

Petition Details

In the last few years several officers have been murdered in the line of duty and a memorial badge has been designed, comprising a black Union Jack with a "thin blue line" running through it.

Additional Information

The Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police has stated that no officer can wear this badge on their uniform as "it is not part of the uniform". So does this also apply to Poppies? We commemorate our dead and this is a respectful way to do it.
