Stop the collective punishment of council tenants.
The policy of evicting families whose relatives were involved in riots amounts to collective punishment.
This action is a draconian and discriminatory punishment that exists purely to threaten council tenants as home owners and private tenants cannot be punished in this way.
Stop the penalisation of council tenants now, abolish the clause in tenancies that allow for such evictions.
