Allow Consultants in hospital to refer infirm patients to memory clinics
Gap in care for potential dementia patients.
Only GP's can refer patients to a memory clinic. Consultants cannot diagnose dementia or make referrals. This was confirmed by a consultant at Barnet Hospital.
