Petition Action

Protect farmland from being built on in the UK.

Petition Details

More and more farmland and farms are being swallowed up in the UK for housing. I believe that this is short-sighted-if anything we need more farmland to feed growing populations. Farmland and arable fields now need protection by law.

Additional Information

As an example, the arable fields at Salisbury rd in Marlborough, Wilts are now under threat for housing. At the moment there is no law to protect the land; we need this changed if we are to prevent the UK from being unable to feed itself in times to come.
