Although it is generally recognised that politicians regardless of idelogical persuasion are professional liars and showman. The current sitting Prime Minister is disturbingly detached from reality.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There is no provision under the Mental Health Act 1983 for the UK Government or Parliament to detain an individual. Section 2(3) of the Act sets out the procedure for detention.
