Teach our young people First Aid skills in School!
Instead of companies benefiting from cashing in on teaching people life saving skills, these should be taught at school to children.
Everyone should have the understanding and the confidence to act in an emergency to save a life.
Children should have the skills and confidence to know how to react if someone needs medical assistance. These skills taught at a young age will ensure that they are never forgotten.
Up to 150,000 people a year could be given a chance to live if more people knew first aid.
Thousands of people are dying each year in situations where first aid could have made the difference. This includes nearly 2,500 who asphyxiate from a blocked airway and 29,000 who die from heart attacks. Source St Johns.
