Ban any form of 'backdoor' in computer software

Petition Details

The investigatory powers bill sets out processes to add 'backdoors' into software to monitor device usage. Backdoors are required to mitigate other security measures of devices.

Weakening software in this manner increases the risk of hackers can use the weakness to exploit for their own purposes.

Additional Information

The investigatory powers bill wants to allow "Equipment Interference" for the "ability to remove any
encryption applied".
