Petition Action

Make Government and Politics a compulsory lesson

Petition Details

The percentage of citizens in the UK that vote every five years repeatedly falls every general election and I believe that we could defeat this participation crisis by making politics a compulsory lesson. In 2015 elections only 66.1% of the population voted and we could increase this.

Additional Information

Percentage of the population who voted in
1997: 71.4%
2015: 66.1%
We could improve these statistics by increasing political participation.
