Support non resident parents where a court order is in place.

Petition Details

Agencies do not acknowledge that non resident parents continue to support their children after separation. There is no financial help regardless of income, no housing help even though we need to provide a home, and we are charged bedroom tax for the rooms our children occupy, NRP's need support too!

Additional Information

NRP's often have to supply a home and facilitate visits on a single person's benefit, the children are discounted in all benefits and housing does not take them into account as a 'need'. Where sufficient housing is found, bedroom tax is applied.

Where a court order is in place all parents should be treated equally.
