Petition Action

Change the IVF criteria and STOP the Postcode lottery

Additional Information

There are many people in the United Kingdom who do not meet the criteria for IVF on the National Health Service (NHS) because of Weight, Age, Smoking or Previous children from past relationships or simply because of the area that they live in.

Every Primary Care Trust should offer the same three attempts of IVF across the whole of the United Kingdom.

There are guidelines set by The National Clinical Of Excellence (NICE) but at the end of the day each Primary Care Trust (PCT) make up there own rules and decisions regarding funding.

I would like the government to 1) Stop the Postcode lottery and enable everyone three attempts on he NHS and 2) Look in to the criteria and abolish the rule of not being able to access any free attempts on the NHS if your partner or husband has a child from a previous relationship.
