Petition Action

impress upon the Digital Cinema Media (DCM), that the lords prayer is welcome

Petition Details

The Church of England has been refused the permission of leading UK cinemas to show an advert featuring the Lord's Prayer. The advert was passed uncut by the British Board of Film Classification and given a "U" certificate, as well as receiving clearance from the Cinema Advertising Authority.

Additional Information

It is Christmas time soon, a huge religious festival in the UK that all shops and nearly every household participate in. The vast, vast majority of the UK population know that Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ and participate in it. But certain cinemas will (presumably) put decorations up, but refuse to acknowledge Christ within their walls, by blocking the Lords Prayer being seen or heard.
