The national anthem to be changed to Land of Hope and Glory
A national anthem should extol the nation, not the sovereign. God save the Queen does not even mention the United Kingdom.

Nearly 20% of the UK's population are republican; why should they sing something to praise an institution they are against?

This isn’t something that the UK Government or Parliament would be able to do. The use of the present National Anthem is a matter of tradition rather than having any legal or constitutional status.
