Increase Fuel Duty as fuel prices lower to renew investment in renewable energy

Petition Details

Petrol & Diesel prices are currently at an 8 year low and yet Fuel Duty increases are currently frozen. Prices are expected to tumble further in the coming weeks.

I propose the Chancellor reviews his current freeze position and considers raising Fuel Duty a little to invest in renewable energy.

Additional Information

Any Fuel Duty rise would be as Fuel Prices lower and overall prices would be allowed to lower, but not to an irresponsible level where car use dramatically rises and continues to contribute to the problem of and not the solution to Global Warming.
