Scrap or dramatically reduce the £500 deposit to contest elections in the UK.
We pride ourselves on being a democratic nation, and all citizens can contest elections should they be able to stump up £500. However, this is out of reach for the vast majority of people and even smaller political parties. We, the undersigned, believe that the fee should be scrapped, or reduced.
