Continue to allow tax relief on mortgage interest for buy-to-let properties.
The Chancellor has indicated that he wants to phase out the ability to off-set tax relief on mortgage interest on buy-to-let properties. This is a business expense identical to property repairs and therefore should continue to attract relief.
Additional, the conservative manifesto pledged not to raise income tax. This move will break their election pledges
