Stop bogus charities collecting monies in the name of military veterans.
There has been an upsurge in bogus charities selling wrist bands and raffle tickets supposedly for military charities. Yet most of these only 1p in the pound goes to any kind of charity if any at all.
This is taking advantage of the public goodwill to assist veterans and is wholly wrong!
I have seen and challenged such a "charity" on the streets of Basingstoke and posted my encounter on Facebook. Now I am seeing dozens of other such postings happening daily.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
If you would like to complain about the conduct of a specific organisation, you can find out how to do that here:
www.gov.uk/complain-about-charity
If you would like the Government or Parliament to take some action - for example, by changing the laws or regulations that apply to charities - you could start a petition calling for that action.
