Let UK citizens elect the UK's EU commissioner
A common complaint about the EU is it's lack of democracy- an important issue in the referendum. David Cameron is currently negotiating EU membership but not for increased democracy. Democracy would be greatly increased if the people of the UK elected their EU commissioner - negotiate that!
In 2010, Jerzy Buzek (EU Parliament Chief) proposed that citizens should elect EU commissioners: https://euobserver.com/news/29742
David Cameron is negotiating 4 areas of EU membership but they have nothing to do with democracy: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-34770875
The allegation that the EU is run by 'technocrats' or is otherwise an unelected non-democratic entity is common in the EU ref debate. e.g. comments here: https://www.facebook.com/scientistsforeu/posts/716299568472055
