The Koran has many verses threatening violence against non-muslims, parliament should make a decision as to which verses are legai.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Parliament makes the law. Once an Act has had Royal Assent and passed into law, it is for the courts to decide how to apply it in specific cases. The courts are independent of Parliament and the Government.
