Do not close the Mother and Baby Unit at Queens Campus NUH Trust
Dr Margaret Oates who sits on MBBRACE panel, started the immensely important work of perinatal mental psychiatry in the 1980. The unit has developed into a tertiary centre for women who will survive this temporary condition but only with expert help.
Admission to unit cannot meet demand . Women have issues both antenatal and postnatally.
