Budget for primary schools in England to teach children to grow their own food
Children should be taught how to grow fruit and vegetables in their early school days. Not only is this fun for the children, but can be educational on both where food comes from and can be incorporated into teaching children about healthy, balanced lifestyles and diets.
Roundhill Primary School (Beeston, Nottingham), in Anna Soubry's constituency, currently has growing boxes where children grow root vegetable and leafy greens.
A Facebook post by Omica Organics on 16/12/2015 has received 276,179 shares, which is en-captioned "Share this if you think schools should teach kids how to grow food!"
