Re-start dredging our rivers and water courses to reduce flooding
In 2000 the European Water Framework Directive (EWF) was written into UK law. This has led to the reduction in the dredging of our rivers and water courses thus letting them silt up and therefore reduce the capacity to work effectly in major storms
