Petition Action

Discuss the immunity of the homeless, if they enter a derelict building.

Petition Details

The homeless have been legal citizens and followed the law right up to the point of becoming homeless.

But the law and the legal system has failed them when they needed help the most.

The homeless are not "scum" they are humans that deserve basic resources to live.

Additional Information

Countless derelict shops and buildings litter England (sitting derelict for years without improvement.

If a building is derelict for more then 2 years it should be seized by the government and refurbished (to a clean livable standard) as shelter for the homeless.

And the homeless that break and enter derelict buildings out of desperation should be immune from the force of law (arresting them for basic survival) when it is the law that failed them.
