Fairer State Pension, with an award set for each Qualifying N.I. year. (No Cap)
From 2016 the Gov Caps the number of N.I, years counted towards the State Pension at 35yrs, with no additional years counted.
and no additional pension, for higher contributors or people with more Qualifying years of N.I.
One Figure of £155.65 for all, regardless of the years contributing
The Government say they will match any state pension amount which exceded the £155.65 when assessed at the start of their new rules in April 2016
If a person has accrued more than £155.65 under present rules for the Full State Pension, plus Additional pension payments, based on their N.I. record to 2016, Their Pension amount will be set at that figure.
But it will stay at that amount regardless of any further N.I. years accrued
(which would have earned additional pension under the old rules)
