Petition Details

At present England has no official anthem of its own. I believe this elegant and unforgettable song perfectly sums up our indomitable spirit, plus it's that or the Archer's theme tune.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

This isn’t something that the UK Government or Parliament would be able to do. The use of the present National Anthem is a matter of tradition rather than having any legal or constitutional status.
