THE ENVIRONMENT AGENCY ESTIMATES 5 MILLION HOMES ARE AT RISK OF FLOODING: FLOODRE IS ESTIMATED TO HELP ONLY 350,000 HOMES
The government are introducing FloodRe to help high risk flooded homeowners gain insurance.The scheme will not cover tenants or businesses, only a few high risk homes

Flood Re covers only a small percentage of homes leaving millions of homes, tenants and small businesses with no insurance risking peoples' health and jobs.

The policy that insurance companies continue to insure properties at risk of flooding - Statement of Principles - will end on the introduction of Flood Re in April 2016
