Armed forces should not face prosecution for actions taken in theatre.
Members of the armed forces have been imprisoned for so called 'crimes' whilst in action on behalf of the government and parliament. The threat of such prosecution will cause hesitation when under threat and potential loss of British lives or injury.
Expensive investigations after the event cannot take into account the state of mind of those involved and the government should not fund independent investigations against UK military personnel. Rely on the military to investigate any such events.
