Petition Action

Do not change the dates of GCSE exams so students can observe Ramadan

Petition Details

The dates for tests in the U.K have been moved forward so a minority of fasting Muslim students are not at a disadvantage. Thisd means that instead of 30% of the countries students being at a disadvantage the whole 100% are.

Additional Information

Moving the dates forward gives students less time to prepare for the most important test of their life.Regardless of the religion it is inconceivable that the many suffer for the "few." Religion shouldn't be involved in your future especially when its not your religion.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Decisions about the dates of exams are taken by exam boards, not by the UK Government or Parliament.
