Petition Details

If you are a Victim of Crime and have you car or bike stolen and the police find and recover it, the minimum charge you will pay is £150 plus £10-£20 a day to get it back from them. If you do not or are unable to pay in 14 days your vehicle will be destroyed or sold by the Police. No exceptions..

Additional Information

Under the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984 the police
are empowered to remove vehicles that are illegally,
obstructively, or dangerously parked, abandoned or
broken down.The tasks of removal and subsequent
storage and disposal are normally carried out on behalf
of the police by contracted recovery operators.
The owner of a vehicle so removed is entitled to get it
back on PAYMENT of prescribed CHARGES for its removal
and storage. £150 removal fee, Storage £10 a day for motorbikes, £20 for cars.
