Make David Bowie's hit single 'Heroes' the British national anthem
It has long been known that the British national anthem is boring and irrelevant. 'Heroes' is brilliantly British, the theme tune for success at the London 2012 Olympics, and just an all round excellent choice for our new national anthem.
RIP David Bowie, a true British hero.
I, I will be king,
And you, you will be queen,
Though nothing will drive them away,
We can beat them, just for one day,
We can be Heroes, just for one day

This isn’t something that the UK Government or Parliament would be able to do. The use of the present National Anthem is a matter of tradition rather than having any legal or constitutional status.
