Allow contractors working through umbrella companies to still claim expenses
George Osborne has said that it's unfair that contractors claim expenses for travel tools and other expenses incurred while people working full time don't get to do this.
Thanks to government legislations over the last few years, more and more people are being forced to work through umbrella companies. Full time workers get ppe and tools provided for them. In many places they are given company vans or cars and subsidised canteens. Contractors don't get this we have to provide everything for ourselves many of us don't like working for umbrella companies but we are left with little choice. We also don't get sick pay, holiday pay or maternity leave. Mps can though!
