Prevent MPs speaking or voting where they have a pecuniary interest.
Recently, an amendment to the government’s housing bill, designed to ensure that all rented accommodation was habitable, was defeated. Yet many MPs have a declared interest.
Local Councillors are not allowed to speak or vote where they have a pecuniary interest. The same rule should apply to MPs
