Protect community centres in local areas
Our community centres are at the hearts of community's and are under a new threat from cuts to government spending people rely on these centres for playgroups, social clubs, fitness and more and we simply can't afford to get rid of them
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Community centres are the responsibility of your local council.
You could raise your issue with a local councillor, who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them:
www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillor
We could accept a petition calling on the UK Government to provide more money to local councils specifically to help keep community centres open.
