Correct the asylum rules that are attracting economic migrants to the UK.
Under current asylum rules in the UK a migrant was recently able to walk through the Channel Tunnel and then claim asylum in the UK. Even though we know he came from France, he was not returned under the Dublin agreement. The laws need to be corrected surrounding asylum applications.
Asylum seekers know that if they reach the UK they can claim asylum and not be returned to their point of entry in the EU. We should be returning them to dissuade others breaching our borders. Illegal entry needs to be just that. We should not be rewarding people for breaching our borders illegally.

We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. You could start a petition which clearly outlines what what changes you would like to see made to the asylum rules.
