Abolish Iraq Historic Allegations Team (IHAT) and any similar organisation.
IHAT are currently and have been paramount in the investigation and prosecution of UK Service Personnel who are essentially "Doing their job."
We require this petition to be opened for debate in parliament for two reasons:
1. Service personnel act under mandate and management of the British government and as such we believe that this 'management' must be held responsible and not the service personnel.
2. We believe this organisation is a waste of tax payers money. The armed services have their own investigatory powers and as such this organisation is not required and has essentially achieved very little.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
