Stop the unfair treatment of Muslims in the Media

Petition Details

There's a disturbing trend among the media to demonise Islam and Muslims. Many Muslims are now deeply concerned that they're seen as a threat to society by default. The truth is that the majority are hard-working, law-abiding and contribute greatly to the social and spiritual life of the nation.

Additional Information

You can see some examples of the sort of headlines which are deeply disturbing Muslims in the UK here:

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/08/08/mehdi-hasan-wilderness-festival-islamophobia-british-press_n_5661667.html

We aren't trying to protect wrongdoers; but innocent people shouldn't be abused because they profess allegiance to the same religion. It isn't fair when it happens to Jews, Christians or people of other faiths, and it shouldn't be deemed as "fair" when it happens to Muslims.
