The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There is no requirement for older people to retake a driving test. We are therefore not sure what action you would like the Government or Parliament to take.

In Great Britain, people over 70 need to renew their license every three years, but this does not involve a driving test. You can find out more about this here:
