Stop Re-Sale of Event Tickets

Petition Details

There is a industry around the re-sale of concert tickets. They are bought in bulk online and within minutes re-sold at multiple face value on various different sites. Solution: ban the re-sale of tickets or go back to queuing up. This practice is corrupt on an industrial scale.

Additional Information

Personal evidence: Stone Roses, ELO, Maccabees, Frankie Boyle and most recently Weezer in Manchester now being sold at £100+ and that is a mild one. ELO in Birmingham were being touted at £500+ one example had 12 tickets at that price.
