Petition Action

No to building a Margaret Thatcher museum.

Petition Details

The government claims it has no money to help the poorest and the most vulnerable of society and investing little money into the NHS due to it's 'long economic plan' yet, the Tories manage to somehow find the money to spend billions on nuclear deterrents that will never be of use and bombing Syria.

Additional Information

Whilst the government claims to have no money for the rest of us to be educated free of cost of to live without food banks, David Cameron has backed a £15 million Margaret Thatcher museum to be built, by expense of the tax payer of course. Not only is this an outrage, it is offensive to people after being told lie after lie by the government. Give the £15 million to the NHS or invest in local communities or something useful!

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The proposal for the Margaret Thatcher Centre has not been made by the Government. It is a project of the Cherish Freedom Trust, which is a charity. The project is intended to be funded by private subscription, not using public money.
