Stop all fossil fuel grants use the money to create tech to take CO2 out the air
The enegy and fossil fuel industries receive millions in government subsidies, ranging from tax allowances to direct price subsidy. This is also the case in ancillary inductries, for example diesel engine production. Consumers pay on their energy bills for above market prices and additional taxes
Theres hould be no energy price subsidy in a free market, the renewables obligation monies be used for a positive outcome. The world has continued to warm, CO2 emissions continue and will continue. New technology is needed now to take CO2 from the atmosphere. Britain could become a world leader in this new technology, and make a new industry from scratch creating wealth and opportunity for UK PLC, and not take money from the poorest in our society with no tangible benefit.
