All Steel used in the HS2 project should be made in UK steel plants.
The reason for this partition is to:
1: To help revive our failing steel plants and both secure jobs and create new jobs, and
2: To ensure the highest quality of steel is used.
The cheapest is very rarely the best.
It appears that George Osborne has 'invited' the Chinese to tender for this massive project - this is bad news for the UK manufacturing industry.
