Call for the UK government to suspend all arms sales to Saudi Arabia

Petition Details

The latest UN report into the Saudi-led airstrikes on Yemen has concluded that the coalition conducts widespread airstrikes on civilians and civilian targets which violates international law. UK arms sales to the Saudis have reached £7 billion since 2010 including the purchase of bombs and jets.

Additional Information

The report found that airstrikes had targeted Schools, Hospitals, Refugee camps and residential areas. Cluster bombs have been used by the coalition which violates the Geneva convention. In 2015 alone uk arms sales to the Saudis totalled £2.95 billion, the highest in a single year since 2010, which coincides with when the Saudi coalition started bombing Yemen. Amnesty International also found evidence of British made bombs used in airstrikes. Over 4000 civilians have died from airstrikes.
