Reduce Police Paperwork: Increase the time Police can be out on the streets
I call upon the Home Office and Government to take all necessary steps to enable front line Police Officers to spend more time in their communities by reducing the amount of paperwork and bureaucracy, spending hours and hours filling in forms for various departments and the production of statistics for Government Targets. Introduce an electronic system to capture any information which can be recorded in this way. Successive Governments have failed to do this and I am sure the vast majority of Rank and File Police Officers would agree, not to mention their Chiefs.
