This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. Elections in the UK are overseen by the Electoral Commission which is independent of both Government and Parliament. Elections are run by independent Returning Officers (ROs) based in each local authority area.

You can find out more about the role the Electoral Commission plays in UK elections and referendums here: http://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/our-work/roles-and-responsibilities/our-role-in-elections-and-referendums
