Force supermarkets to give unwanted and unsold food to those that need it.
The French senate recently voted to ban supermarkets from throwing away or spoiling unsold food by law, and are required to donate unwanted food to charities and food banks. This is a exemplary step forward supporting the poor and impoverished in society and challenges food waste effectively.
All EU member states must be pushed to adopt this reasonable and compassionate law.
