Allow abortion in Northern Ireland in cases of fatal foetal abnormality
In Northern Ireland, abortion is illegal unless the life of the mother is at risk.
In cases of fatal foetal abnormality, when doctors and parents know the baby will be stillborn, parents are forced to endure pregnancy and childbirth knowing their child will not live.
This is a law set by the Stormont Assembly. However, it is also a human rights issue affecting people living in the UK. There is no reason at all to force people to give birth to dead bodies.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Decisions on abortion in Northern Ireland are the responsibility of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
