MP & Civil service pay should be linked to public sector worker pay rises.
MP/Civil service pay are determined by an independent pay review body which the members state that have to obey as it is an independent system. Yet MP's are able to ignore the independent pay review bodies of other public sector workers and force whatever pay levels the Government which to impose.
July 2015 MPs' salaries will rise from £67,060 to £74,000, the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority has announced.
August 2015 Nurses, police and other public sector workers should not necessarily expect a 1% pay rise, the chief secretary to the Treasury has said.
Febuary 2016 MPs are set to receive a salary boost of almost £1,000 after the independent parliamentary pay watchdog recommended another rise – the second in one year.
Either we are all in this together or we are not.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Civil servants are public sector workers. Their salaries are not determined by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, which is responsible only for decisions relating to MP's pay, pensions and expenses.
You could start a new petition calling for changes in the way that MPs' pay is set. It would be helpful if your petition explained clearly what arrangements you would like to see in place.
We do already have one petition open calling for IPSA to be scrapped:
